Haiku mission statement

I have been exploring other blogs recently and found that some writers use lists, poem contests, or asking a question in the post to create interest and give insight. I like haiku poetry because it can pour a lifetime of meaning into 17 syllables. An American haiku is a three-line poem in which the first line has a total of 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third has 5 syllables. Often, the poem works within the imagery of nature, but I don’t think there are any bounds. The brevity of words forces a certain simplicity on the writer, but at the same time allows for depth of thought, especially with metaphor.
I wondered about writing a haiku containing my life mission statement and came up with this:
Tall shade tree waving,
embracing summer’s green warmth.
Seeds ride the wind home.
