SpaceAgeSage joins 9rules Blog Network
Sep 12th, 2008 by spaceagesage
I’m happy to announce that SpaceAgeSage was recently accepted as a member of the 9rules Blog Network. The logo for the network is now part of my blog. I first became aware of this independent community when Leo Babauta of ZenHabits.net joined.
The name of the network comes from this list of “Rules” the group adheres to:
- Love what you do.
- Never stop learning.
- Form works with function.
- Simple is beautiful.
- Work hard, play hard.
- You get what you pay for.
- When you talk, we listen.
- Must constantly improve.
- Respect your inspiration.
These nine rules certainly resonate with what I write, so I’m looking forward to contributing to the network. As a relatively new blogger, I have learned from the community and will continue to bring back better, tighter, and more intriguing writing for my posts.
To find more interesting blogs, just click on the leaf logo, and it will take you into a world of great blogs on a wide range of topics. Have fun exploring them!

Lori, just wanted to come on over and say welcome to 9rule again. I see you’re also an SOB. Gee, we have a lot in common! Liz Strauss is one of my favorite people.
Hi, Tammy —
Thanks for dropping by and for the welcome! I look forward to learning how to address conflict in healthier ways from you and your blog.
Liz Strauss is one of my favorite people, too. She has something special about her that builds people up and makes the world a better place. Her wise words have taught me a great deal about blogging and people.
Congratulations on getting into the 9 Rules network. I must admit I didn’t know what it was until Tim Brownson over at A Daring Adventure was talking about it. Sounds very positive and inspiring though so I’ll go over and check out some of the other blogs. Thanks for the heads up.
Maybe I should try for next year…
Kelly
Hey congratulations!! You deserve it for writing very lovely posts! Keep em coming!
Hugs,
Evelyn
Congrats! Awesome achievement.
Hi Lori,
Pardon my ignorance, but I don’t understand the advantages of becoming a member of a blog network. Can you enlighten me a little? I read their About page and skimmed their categories, and realize it is an honor to be selected, and it seems a nice way to increase traffic and grow your community, but it there more to it that I’m missing?
Guess I’m having a blonde moment!
Congratulations on reaching your goal nevertheless!!
Hi, Kelly —
Thanks! They have Rounds every few months where people apply and selections are made.
Hi, Evelyn —
Thank for your kind words!
Hi, Vered —
Aw, shucks … you all are starting to make me blush!
Hi, Linda —
Thanks for your congrats, and I appreciate your question.
I want to take my blog to another level, but need some direction which I can find there. Within the 9rules group, I will be able to ask all the questions I want, learn from the long-time folks in a more private and community setting, and eventually help others as well. I see it as a big learning lab for me. I’m guessing I will get some valuable critiques as well.
Thanks for explaining, Lori. I’ll be interested in your journey . . . and success! I love that you call it a “learning lab!” It sounds perhaps like a larger BWAB-type community — yes?
Hi, Linda –
You’re welcome. As I understand it, both are communities, but 9rules has a more typical network format, where a person can subscribe, read, and customize the blogs they like within one site. I comment on and appreciate the BWAB community, but I hold no membership. I just thoroughly enjoying the quality, people, and interactions.
